Emergency Family Shelter Program Needs YOU! - updated 11/10/15
It's that time again! One of our community action programs is an Interfaith collaboration with the ERUCC and UUCF to help staff Frederick's Emergency Family Shelter for two weeks four times a year. That's a total of 8 weeks. It's a big commitment but our homeless families in Frederick depend on this important program. I'm reaching out to members of our congregation to consider signing up for an evening (6pm-10pm) at the shelter which is housed at the Trinity Chapel at the ERUCC in town.
We also still have many evenings for volunteers to staff the shelter. Below is the link to see where we have needs:
The next dates are: November 14-28. That's soon! And there are still quite a few slots to fill. If you have any interest in helping out by volunteering at the shelter, please send me an email; Debra Kattler at email@example.com or call 301-507-9147and we will get you signed up! Thank you for reading this and please contact me if you have further questions.
Please note that the shelter always has a staff person so volunteers are not on their own. Teens may also join with parents to help out. Please click here to read the full article and to sign up to help >
