SAVE THE DATE!!!  Kol Ami Congregational Annual Meeting, Monday, June 1 @ 7:00pm at UUCF

Message from CKAF President

As we continue to grow as a Congregation and Community, OUR Kol Ami needs many more volunteers to help keep it running smoothly. We especially need YOU to become a part of our wonderful cast of volunteers!

Are you someone that has experience with the following and would like to help our congregation?  We currently have an immediate need for all fields.

Accounting  /  Bookkeeping  /  Web Site Maintenance

If you have experience in other fields or have other special skills that would help Kol Ami continue to grow, I would love to hear from you!  We have many volunteer opportunities available.

Please reach out to me directly via email or at 301-346-5753. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.  Thank you!

Jordan Schneider, President

High Holiday Lead Coordinator Position for Children's Programming & Junior Congregation

Children's Programming and Junior Congregation are for children in kindergarten through 5th grade.  They usually include a short age-appropriate service with a craft or related activity.  The person who has lead Children's Programming and Junior Congregation is unable to lead again this year.

I need one person or a team of two to be in charge of each holiday.  There are volunteers to help in Children's Programming and Junior Congregation for the HHDs, but I specifically need a lead coordinator.  I want to stress that you do not have to lead both holidays; this is not a hard job (requiring minimal prep time beforehand); and the programming already exists, so you don't need to come up with any new lesson plans (unless you want to).

Without someone to lead the charge, we will not be able to have any programming for this age group this year.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested in learning more about this position.

Thank you!

Get ready to SHAKE YOUR KEYS!!!!  - Fundraiser & Fun

Congregation Kol Ami is participating in a fundraiser with the Frederick Keys!!

Starting TODAY, we are asking everyone to help us raise funds for our congregation by selling tickets to a Keys game to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors...basically anyone you can think of who would be interested in a Keys game!  And, really, who wouldn't enjoy a summer night at the ball park?!?!

When: Thursday, June 18, 2015 @ 7 pm
What: Frederick Keys vs. Wilmington .....and cheer on our very own Rabbi Dan Sikowitz as he throws the first pitch!!!
Cost: $9 per general admission ticket ----if people cannot attend the June 18th game, these tickets are good for any Sunday - Thursday game during the 2015 season!!

Our goal is to sell at least 100 tickets!!!  Please help support our congregation by ordering tickets for your family and selling to family and friends as well!  All proceeds will go directly to CKAF!  I KNOW we can do this!!

In addition, if we PACK THE PARK and sell at least 250 tickets, Congregation Kol Ami will be honored in a pre-game parade!!!

Here is what we need from YOU:   Attached is an order form for tickets.  Please download the form to order your tickets and to take any orders from friends and family too.  Collect money at time of order (cash or check made payable to CKAF).  Each ticket is $9 and there is no tax or service charge!  Turn your order forms and money in to me, Jessica Price, by Thursday, June 11th and you will receive your tickets!  I will also be outside the stadium an hour before the game to deliver tickets as well.

I would love for us all to get together to enjoy each other's company, a great game (and first pitch!) all while supporting CKAF!!

Looking forward to seeing EVERYONE at the game!!
