Celebrating the High Holy Days with Kol Ami

We welcome you to celebrate the High Holy Days with Kol Ami.  Each year, we celebrate the cycle of the Jewish holidays.  Our services are filled with prayers, music, and are a time to reflect on our lives.  When we unite as a congregation we create a sacred space in time as a family to share our strength and console one another.

Oneg (a joyful social gathering) often follow holiday services and are a special way to celebrate the holidays.  At these events, not only do the children enjoy the activities but the adults are delighted to participate in the festivities.

With the exception of Tashlich,
all programming will be
held at the UUCF.

1What is Tashlich? The ceremony of Tashlich is a centuries-old ritual for Jews to symbolically cast their sins away. Traditionally held outdoors near a stream or river, we take crumbs of bread, think about the aspects of our lives from the past year that we are not happy with, and cast the bread crumbs into the flowing water. As the water takes the crumbs away, we allow ourselves to let go of our sins. We hope you will join us for this brief but uplifting ceremony.

Break Fast September 19, 2018 @ 6:15
Located in the UUCF following the Ne'ilah service.

Please indicate when purchasing tickets if you plan to join us.  A Sign-Up Genius link will be emailed to you after you RSVP to sign up for food and/or desserts. Bagels, cream cheese, drinks, and paper goods will be provided.
